District 2 Report — September 2024

Some updates in the District 2 area.

The Port of Long Beach has a current commercial trucking electric charging station being built by Par West Electric and another one that will be breaking ground soon (electrical sub not named yet).

The VA Hospital in Long Beach has a new parking structure coming in the next few months, with Taft Electric named on this project. There is a new 3-story building starting up at CSULB, La Playa Residence Hall. Taft will be doing the underground, the building electrical has yet to be named.

ILB is at Cal State Domiguez Hills working on the new substation for the campus to replace the existing one. ILB will also be the electric sub for the upcoming Student Health, Wellness & Rec Center.

The D2 December Holiday Meeting will be at the Hollywood Sports Event in Bellflower again this year on 12/4 at 5:00 p.m.
