IBEW 11 Members — Residential Inspectors Needed

Brothers & Sisters,

I hope this message finds you and your loved ones safe and well. In collaboration with our NECA Chapter Manager we have come across an opportunity for IBEW Certified JW to assist in the rebuild efforts after these tragic fires.

There is a private inspection company who will need Residential Building Inspectors to inspect these residential properties as they start to build them. There are a couple of steps that need to be taken before this can take place.

The first step will be for you to obtain your Residential Building Inspector Certificate at a cost of $305, which upon passing and completion will be reimbursed by IBEW Local 11. Once you have passed the test we will follow up with further information of where to apply for the position.

Please note that this is a private company and should you obtain the position it is not covered under the CBA as you will not be working for a signatory contractor. You will be able to maintain your place on the Out of Work book while performing this work.

Below you will find the link to take the J1 Residential Building Certificate exam and upon completion please contact IBEW Local 11 District 6 Business Representative Tommy Zielomski at tzielomski@ibew11.org.

You will need the Residential Building Certificate. (not the electrical) It is selection “J1”

Here is the link to the ICC website, directly to the page where you can select the test you need.

Thank you.

Robert Corona
Business Manager/Financial Secretary
