Director of Veterans Affairs

Since our last update in the October issue of the “News at 11”, Our veterans had the opportunity to participate in a Live Fire Shoot at Mike Raahaugues’s Shooting Range in Corona, Ca. Our veterans were sponsored by the San Clemente Marine Corps Support Group. This made for a great day of camaraderie, we were also joined by one (1) of our contractor’s Rubio from On-Target Electric.

Our Veterans shot a total of five (5) different weapons from various positions

  • Sig Sauer P220 Combat Pistol (.45 caliber).
  • Sig Sauer P226 9MM.
  • Sig Sauer MPX 9MM Carbine.
  • Sig Sauer MCX 5.56 Special Ops Rifle.
  • Sig Sauer 516 5.56 rifle.

Additionally, as we prepare for the upcoming Holidays, our Veterans are planning to participate in our Electrical Workers Minority Caucus’s “National Day of Service” during November, and the Hollenbeck Youth Center “Miracle on 1st Street” during December. Helping to give back to our Communities within Los Angeles County is a small offering, given the opportunities that Los Angeles has given us to earn for our Families.
