District 3 Report – April 2025

Greetings from the Westside!

Unfortunately, the better days of 2025 are starting off a little slower than expected, but the contractors I’ve been talking to have been aggressively bidding work in our jurisdiction. Of course, we’ve seen a few promising days of job calls and with fingers crossed, it’s an indication of things to come.

I was out at the new 37-story high-rise building in Century City and the steel has been completed and Sasco continues to work on the core and shell. I was told that a few of our other contractors will also be performing the buildouts as this project continues to progress.

Rosendin has had calls for the MSC South job at LAX and are currently working 6-10’s. When completed, they will be moving to terminal 5.

As for your Local 11 staff, we are out there attending City Council and School Board meetings with other trades to educate them on the benefits of using union trades.
