District 6 Report — July 2024

Greetings from District 6, Brothers and Sisters.

As most of you are aware, our local elections have been completed over the last two months. I applaud and commend all who ran and congratulate those who won. I’m excited and looking forward to the positive changes our newly elected officers will make to benefit Local 11 and its members.

One such change has already been implemented: members can now view the zip code requirements for a job call online. Before, members would need to come into the hall to check the zip codes.

Job calls have picked up in the last couple of months, with some calls even going unfilled. Be sure to stay active in your training and maintain your certifications.

When taking a job call, I encourage and recommend that members have the agreement and MOU (memorandum of understanding) for whatever classification they are taking the call in. Copies of the agreements and MOUs are available online and at the dispatch halls.

If you have any questions, please contact me.

As always, it is an honor and privilege to represent the members of IBEW Local 11.
