District 2 Report — September 2025

Hello, Brothers and Sisters.

Thank you to all who showed up and participated in the annual Labor Day Parade. The IBEW Local 11 Picnic and Health Fair is just around the corner on Saturday, October 11 at the Hollywood Sports Park in Bellflower. This is always a great event for members, family, and friends. This year’s District 2 Christmas Meeting/Party will be held on Friday, Dec. 5. Everyone is invited. We will have the usual tamales, rice, beans, deep fried turkey, glazed ham, and more.  

Work has slowed down a little this past month. San Pedro just voted to approve construction of an amphitheater and Ferris wheel in the new wharf area. The Lakewood Mall was just bought by investors. The plan is to overhaul the entire mall area, including adding new green spaces and mixed-use retail and residential units, along with other projects.

As always, please watch out for each other on the jobsites to keep each other safe.
