Manufacturing Report – February 2022

I hope all is well and everyone is staying safe.

Although there have not been a lot of changes in the manufacturing and industrial world, here’s a brief update.

Kinkisharyo Unit 1710
We are currently still in negotiations with the company and our most recent meeting took place February 22. I am hopeful that we can make some good progress during this session and get a good contract for the members in a timely manner. I want to thank Mark Hogains for stepping up and becoming a steward. Mark will be a good addition at the plant, and I will be working with him to bring him up to speed on his duties.

Covanta Unit 15
I am pleased to announce that the pay grievance has been settled and the company should have corrected all pay discrepancies. If there are still problems, please give me a call ASAP. I would also like to welcome Peter Tauanuu as the new steward replacing Teresa Rodriguez.
