Embrace Every Opportunity and Secure Your Holiday Paycheck

Hello apprentices,

Summer is over, and the holidays are coming, so it’s time to remember the importance of a paycheck. We need to buy gifts and have holiday feasts with our families, so that means working every day.

The apprentice calls have been coming in consistently. We all want that perfect job that’s close to home and working in the electrical room, but remember, no job site is permanent, so take the work that’s in front of you, make money, and enjoy the holiday season.

I go into your classrooms and always tell you to be about the business. This is your career, not the Foreman’s or contractors’, so if you’ve been stuck doing the same thing for months, you need to speak up at work. If they ignore you, reach out to the coordinator. The goal is to be a well-rounded electrician when you journey out.
