District 6 Report — September 2025

Greetings from District 6, Brothers and Sisters.

I am happy to announce District 6 Hall will be hosting more JW level classes in the coming months. If you are interested in LAQSP, Foremanship, or First Aid/CPR classes we are still taking signups at the D6 Hall. Just like classes at ETI, completed class hours at D6 are eligible to be used as continuing education units when renewing your state certification.

From August 18-20 I attended the California State Association of Electrical Workers Conference in Sacramento where I had the opportunity to lobby members of the State Legislature. I spoke with local Assembly members and my Senator, Susan Rubio, about policies needed to create and protect union jobs. With the current political climate and attacks on unions, continuing political action is essential for Local 11 to protect and advance our members’ interests.

Don’t forget the Local 11 Picnic & Health Fair is October 11 at Hollywood Sports Park in Bellflower. Come by and support the District 6 Welfare Committee at our booth. Hope to see you there. It is an honor and privilege to serve as your District 6 Business Representative.
