IBEW 11 Gives Back
During the holiday season, IBEW Local 11 members can be found all over L.A. County reaching out and giving back. Be it food, clothes, toys or just lending a helping hand, the brothers and sisters of Local 11 are quick to donate their time and resources to brighten the lives of countless others.
EWMC on Skid Row
Every year, the Local 11 Electrical Worker Minority Caucus chapter visits Skid Row in Downtown LA to lend a hand. This year, the EWMC was accompanied by members of IBEW Local 18, husbands, wives, and children of our own Local 11 members, and Sisters from WINTER (Women In Non-Traditional Employment Roles). For a few hours, volunteers gave out nearly 400 jackets, more than 500 blankets, 2,500 pairs of socks, and a ton of clothes donated by IBEW members and their familes.
Veterans Helping Veterans
Members of the IBEW Local 11 Veterans Club volunteered last month and worked on updating the the VFW Post 8070 in Azusa. A special thank you goes out to our Director of Veterans Affairs Mike Kufchak for coordinating this Veterans Day of Service.
