COVID Vaccine for Military Veterans

Dear IBEW Local 11 members,
We are pleased to announce to our Military Veterans that the V.A. Long Beach Veterans Healthcare System is currently administering the Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine to Veterans who are essential workers and under the age of 65.
If you are not already registered with the Long Beach V.A. Hospital, you must do the following to receive an appointment for the vaccine.
  • Register with the V.A. Long Beach Hospital Healthcare Service by providing the following:
a. DD214 displaying your Military Service (regardless of length of service and type of discharge)
b. Valid Identification (i.e. Driver’s License or Passport)
  • Once you are registered, they will set you up with an appointment for the vaccine. You will need to provide proof of being an essential worker (electrician) by providing:
a. Work I.D., meaning your dues receipt.
b. A letter identifying IBEW Local 11 as Essential Workers. You can download and print out the letter by clicking here.
