We started the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance and had a moment of silence for our departed brothers and sisters.

NO IBEW Local 11 Tenure Pins were handed out at the September 2019 General Meeting.
October Meeting
This month’s guest speakers were Valerie Ramos and Dolly Jackson from the Trust Fund and they talked about our medical plan open enrollment period and how to change medical plans
This year’s picnic was held at Hollywood Sports Park in BELLFLOWER on Saturday, September 28, 2019, from 10:00 Am to 4:00 PM. The Local provided a surprise this year as all entry fees were waived at the direction of our Business Manager Joel Barton
At our booth we sold T-shirts and held a 50/50 raffle that was won by Jane Templeton who donated her winnings back to Retiree’s Club. Thanks Jane.
We would also like to thank everyone who helped out with the operation of our booth especially Joe Wassenaar, Anthony Van, Chris Gonzales, Jimmy Amato, and Dave & Sandy Smith
Holiday Luncheon will be at Taix French Restaurant on December 11, 2019 at 11:30 AM. It was agreed by the members present that the price for this year’s luncheon will be the same as last year. $25.00 per person and we’ll have two choices for meals Pot Roast Beef and Roasted Chicken. We’ll also have a Gift Exchange for those who want to participate
A request was made for members to help contribute a short article for our Fall/Winter printed newsletter. Alfonso Anzures Jr. and Joe Zamora have volunteered to provide us a short article. If anybody else would like to contribute please do.
The Fall/ Winter is scheduled to be mailed in the first part of November.
It was also discussed that part of the Brice Worley Memorial Endowment Fund could be used each year to help with the cost of our Holiday Luncheon. This is will require a lot more discussions by our members
Al Etherton and John Lenau have agreed to attend CARA 16th Annual Convention in Sacramento on October 22 & 23 per the request of the Local.
For those that our interested former Amelco employees will have a luncheon at the Green Onion Restaurant in San Pedro, 11:00 AM. on November 6. If you would like to attend let Paul Schroeder know at phs.mattewole@gmail.com
This month 50-50 winner (split 3=ways), both Drawings were won by Ed Rojo and Joe Farino
Novembers scheduled guess speakers will be Kaiser and United Health Care to answer questions about their services and programs
